Hello everyone,
Day five of our journey unfolded with a blend of insightful training and impactful service, leaving us with valuable lessons and cherished memories.
Our day began with a session at the Cru world headquarters, where we delved into a topic that resonated deeply with many of us: finding validation in God alone. The training emphasized the importance of placing God at the center of our lives and not seeking validation from worldly pursuits. It served as a poignant reminder that as Christians, our values and priorities should often diverge from those of the mainstream. We were reminded that following God’s path may sometimes demand sacrifices, whether in terms of time, comfort, or finances, but the rewards of living in alignment with His will are immeasurable.
In the afternoon, we embarked on a service project at a facility that receives donated mattresses, sorting them to determine if they’re suitable for redistribution or need to be recycled. I had the opportunity to be part of the team responsible for moving mattresses while other groups were tasked with dismantling and recycling them. It was fascinating to witness the process of mattress recycling and to see how each component could be disposed of responsibly.
As the day drew to a close, we reflected on the significance of our experiences—both in training and service. Each moment reinforced the importance of living intentionally, anchored in faith, and committed to making a positive impact in the world around us.
Day five was a testament to the power of training to strengthen our faith and the fulfillment found in serving others with purpose and joy.
